SHIFT Presented During Meeting of the Industry Working Group 2025

SHIFT consortium partner Circular Tree presented the project during the recent meeting of the Industry Working Group on Legally Compliant Environmental Management in the Electronics Industry 2025 on the 26th of February 2025.


The Industry Working Group on Legally Compliant Environmental Management in the Electronics Industry works on the implementation of RoHS, REACh, ErP, WEEE and other environmental requirements since 2004.


The working group is headed by Fraunhofer IZM with the following departments: Wafer Level System Integration, System Integration & Interconnection Technologies, Environmental & Reliability Engineering, RF & Smart Sensor Systems.


At present, the working group comprises 53 member companies or institutions from the following areas, among others:


  • Materials and machines for electronics manufacturing,

  • Semiconductor

  • Passive components,

  • Connector

  • Networking

  • Measurement

  • Industrial electronics

  • Household appliances

  • Consumer Electronics,

  • Automats

  • Solar energy

  • Aeronautical Engineering,

  • Railway technology,

  • Electronics development and

  • Recycling.
